AIP Valve

STRAINER

Applications

The AIP Strainer is designed for general industrial applications including:

  • Water pipelines

  • Oil pipelines

  • Gas pipelines

  • Steam lines

  • Industrial process equipment

It is widely used to protect downstream equipment by removing unwanted solid particles from the flowing medium.

Working Temperature

  • 230°C working temperature for steam applications

  • 65°C working temperature for water, oil, and gas

(Temperature and pressure ratings may vary depending on material selection.)

Features

  • Clears unwanted particles from the pipeline

  • Protects valves, pressure relief valves, pumps, and other equipment

  • Recommended to install at the inlet side during installation

  • Reduces risk of equipment damage

  • Ensures smooth and uninterrupted flow

    Strainer Design & Construction Details

    1. Strainer Function
It can estimate the presence of dirt in the pipeline by measuring pressure difference before and after filtration. It is easy to monitor when a transmitter or pressure gauge is installed.

    2. End Cap / Drain Plug
There is a drain hole in the lower part of the cap which allows small particles to be discharged. A small ball valve or plug can also be installed.

    3. Sealing System
Rubber washer is designed to improve sealing reliability and prevent leakage.

    4. Cavity Design
The cavity includes three strengthening ribs that reduce deformation caused by high pressure differences inside and outside the filter, improving durability.

    5. Filter Element
Turn-up design strengthens the filter mesh and improves sealing performance.
